A Tribe Called Quench: Matthew Wright - "The Corporal"
Meet Matthew Wright - "The Corporal" -
Loyal customer for 6 years
"I have been working at The Capital for nearly nine years. I am so grateful that I am able to work for the Texas House of Representatives even though I have a disability.
It is hard for people with disabilities to find interesting work.
Since JuiceLand is celebrating "Gratitude" as their core value, I wanted to share what I'm thankful for in my life.
I am thankful for my friend and attendant, Jack, who makes it possible for me to participate in sports and other activities, volunteer at the Texas Military History Museum at Camp Mabry, and live independently.
My friend, Jack, and I have been going to the Lake Austin Shop at least twice a week for 6 years. I ride my bike on the trail, row at the Texas Rowing Center, and stop for my favorite smoothie, "Morning Sunshine", on my way home.
The employees are all friendly and helpful, but Brianna is special!
She remembers me, asks about what I have been doing, my plans.
It feels good. I feel welcome!
I am so thankful for my mom who supports my healthy lifestyle. She always helps me to exercise, drink JuiceLand smoothies and help to keep my waistline a size 32 or 34. 😉
I feel lucky to live so close to the lake and have kind and helpful neighbors.
I'd like to give a shout out to my Austin High Special Ed teacher, Ron Griffin, the St. Edward’s University GO-Project, AISD job training, Special Olympics and the Arc of the Capital Area. They have made it possible for me to be involved in my community."
We are grateful for customers like Matthew who refuel with us to keep giving so generously to our community. ⭐️PRO TIP: The Morning Sunshine is Monday's Daily Special!
